J. J. Lee is a passionate and heartfelt vocalist whose journey into live performance proves that it's never too late to follow your dreams. Her stage name has literally come from blending her initials and her love for one of her favourite singing artists, Brenda Lee.

Although music had always been a part of her life, her path as a solo singer truly began in 2018 when she reunited with her first love, Steve, who is now her husband. When Steve moved in, he brought his music equipment with him, and together they transformed their spare room into a home music studio. Sharing a deep love for classic music, rock 'n' roll, and especially Elvis Presley, the couple spent countless hours enjoying and performing the songs that had shaped their lives.

One Saturday evening, Steve encouraged Jinnette to have a go at singing. Having only sung karaoke a handful of times before, she chose her favourite song, "To Sir With Love," from one of her favourite films. When she finished, Steve was amazed by what he heard and encouraged her to sing more often, telling her she had a beautiful voice. Years of self doubt and discouragement had left her hesitant to believe in herself, but with Steve's support she slowly began singing more regularly at home.

When the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Jinnette and Steve began performing live on Facebook in support of various charity events. During this time, they met good friends Lee and Tracey, with Lee being a respected Elvis tribute artist. At an Elvis weekend after-show event, Jinnette once again performed "To Sir With Love." Lee was quick to praise her performance, encouraging her to pursue singing more seriously.

With the support of Steve, Lee, and Tracey, Jinnette finally found the confidence she needed. As venues reopened following the pandemic restrictions, she dedicated herself to practising and developing her craft. In 2021, she took the leap and booked her first solo performance.

Since then, J. J. Lee has become known for delivering warm, engaging performances that celebrate the music she loves most. Her repertoire spans the golden decades of music, featuring beloved hits from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, alongside classic country favourites. Her authentic style, genuine love for performing, and connection with audiences have made her a popular entertainer wherever she appears.

Today, J. J. Lee continues to perform with pride, gratitude, and humility. Every show is a reminder of how far she has come. From singing in a spare room with family and friends to entertaining audiences who share her passion for timeless music. She remains deeply thankful for the support she has received along the way and considers every opportunity to perform both a privilege and a blessing.
