Shelley Stone’s journey as a vocalist began back in 1989, when a 17 year old Shelley first discovered her love for performing through local karaoke nights. What started as casual singing quickly evolved into something much bigger. Her unmistakable tone and natural vocal power led her to form the duo 2 Point 1 with her close friend Roz, marking her first step into the world of live entertainment.

 

In 1995, Shelley’s talent caught the attention of agency manager Dave Lloyd. It was during this pivotal moment that she adopted the stage name Shelley Stone, inspired by the drink Stones Bitter, to mark the beginning of a new chapter in her professional career. Under Dave Lloyd’s management for three years, Shelley refined her craft, expanded her repertoire, and grew into a commanding performer.

 

After gaining the confidence and experience she needed, Shelley chose to take full control of her career, managing herself from that point forward. Decades later, she remains an unstoppable vocal force, known for her powerhouse delivery, emotional projection, and ability to captivate any audience she stands before.

 

Shelley credits her greatest inspiration to her mum, who was an extraordinary singer in her own right. Her musical direction has also been shaped by the iconic 80s band Heart, whose soaring vocals and dramatic rock ballads resonate deeply with her own style.
